Parents choosing childcare read carefully. They want the inspection report, the fees, the session times and whether funded hours can be used, and then they want a feel for what a day with you is like. If any of those is missing, they ring three other settings first, or don’t ring at all. A clear website saves you repeating the same answers on the phone during the busiest part of the day.
We put the facts up front. A link to your latest Ofsted report if you’re in England, or your Care Inspectorate Wales report if you’re in Wales. Session times and daily rates with what’s included. A plain explanation of the funded hours you take, with a note to check the current scheme, because funding changes and differs on each side of the border.
Then the part that helps parents decide. Your daily routine from drop-off to pick-up, real photos of the rooms and outdoor space, what children eat, and how settling in works. If you use a key person approach, we explain it in a sentence or two. Childminders get the same treatment at a smaller scale: your home setting, your qualifications and how many children you care for.
Language matters here too. Many families in Powys want Welsh-medium or bilingual childcare, and some on the English side do as well. If you offer it, we make it clear and can add Welsh-language content. Finally, a visit request and waiting list form that sends enquiries straight to your inbox, so places fill without a phone queue. When fees or session times change, email us and we update the site, usually the same day.
Families here live on both sides of the border, and the rules, inspectors and funding schemes differ between England and Wales. The website should make clear which apply to you.
