These are the decisions we’ve made about how we treat customers, including the ones that cost us money.
We tell you when we're the wrong choice
If you need an online shop, a booking system or a members’ area, we’ll say so and suggest where to look. We can link your site to a booking or payment service you already use.
Your domain is yours
It’s registered in your name and we’ll transfer it for free when you ask, with no notice period. Holding a domain hostage is an old trick in this industry and we won’t do it.
Cancelling is easy
You can cancel from your billing page in a couple of clicks. No phone call, no one trying to talk you out of it.
One price for the website
The managed website is one plan at £47 a month. There’s no cheaper version with bits missing and no upsell six months in.
A person writes your pages
Your words are written for your business by someone who read your answers. They’re not pulled from a library of stock paragraphs.
Simple technology on purpose
Managed websites are built as static pages, with no database and no plugins to patch. There’s very little to break and nothing that gets slower over the years.

A real person goes through this list on every site before it’s allowed to launch.

Does it load quickly on a weak phone signal?
We test on a slowed-down mobile connection, not office broadband. A lot of your customers will be on 4G in a village, so that’s what counts.

Does it sound like a person wrote it?
We read every page out loud. If a sentence sounds like nobody would ever say it, we rewrite it.

Does it work properly on a phone?
We check a small screen first. Buttons big enough for a thumb, a phone number you can tap, an address that opens a map, and no sideways scrolling.

Can everyone use it?
Readable contrast, proper headings, alt text on images that matter, visible focus outlines and full keyboard use. Some of your customers use a screen reader.

Is it obvious how to get in touch?
On every page, on a phone, without scrolling, a stranger should see what the business does and how to contact it within five seconds.
What we don't build: shops, booking systems and members' areas
We’d rather lose the sale than have you find this out in month three. If one of these sounds like you, tell us anyway and we’ll point you in a sensible direction if we can.
You need an online shop
Selling products online means stock, payments, delivery, VAT and returns. That’s a different product at a different price. Look at Shopify or WooCommerce with a developer.
You need bookings or customer logins
We can link your website to a booking or payment service you already use. Building the booking system, client portal or members’ area itself isn’t part of this plan.
You need a very large website
We build the pages a brochure website needs. If you’re publishing hundreds of pages with complex workflows, an agency is the better fit.
You want to build it yourself
Some people enjoy it and are good at it. If that’s you, our web hosting from £2.99 a month or a website builder will suit you better.
