What should a small business blog about?
Write about the questions customers ask you every week. A heating engineer in Newtown might write “How often should a boiler be serviced?”. A café in Ludlow might post the new autumn menu. A builder could write up a recent extension with a few photos. Short and useful beats long and vague. If you answer the question properly, you’ll have a page you can send to the next person who asks.
Does a blog help my website on Google?
It can. Each useful article is another page Google can show when someone searches a question you know the answer to. Over time, a set of relevant, local articles gives Google more context about what you do and where you do it. Every article has its own search title and description, which you can set yourself or leave to fill in from the title and summary.
How the editor works
Log in to your account, start a new draft and type. You can add headings, lists, links and quotes without touching any code. Add a short summary, pick a category, choose a cover image and press preview to see exactly how it will look on your site. Nothing goes live until you publish. If you change your mind later, every saved and published version is kept and you can bring an old one back.
Can you write the articles for me?
The articles section is there for you to write in, but you can also email us. Asking us to add an article, or rewrite one, counts as one of your 10 changes a month. One request is one change, however big. That’s handy if you’d rather send us the facts and a few photos and let us turn them into a post.

Do I need a separate blog or WordPress login?
No. Articles are built into your account. There’s no separate login and no theme to keep updated.
Can a draft go live by accident?
No. Saving never changes the live site. You preview the draft and it only goes live when you publish.
