What we can and can't change

Almost everything is changeable. This is the short list of what isn't, and why.

Almost everything is changeable. This page is about the handful of things that are not, and why.

Things we will change, gladly

  • Any words on any page
  • Headings, section order, page structure
  • Colours, fonts, spacing, the overall visual direction
  • Which photos are used and where
  • Adding, removing or reordering services
  • Contact details, hours, service areas
  • The tone of the whole site
  • Swapping stock photos for your own

None of this costs extra and there is no limit on how many times you ask.

Things we will not do

Invent facts about your business. Prices, qualifications, accreditations, awards, years trading, or the number of customers you have served. If you tell us, we will publish it. If you do not, we will leave it out rather than guess.

Write fake testimonials. We will use real reviews you supply, attributed however you have permission to attribute them. We will not write praise and put a name on it. Besides the obvious problem, it breaches advertising rules and it is usually spottable.

Make claims that need evidence you have not got. “The best electrician in Yorkshire” is a comparative claim you would need to substantiate. “Rated 4.9 from 200 reviews on Checkatrade” is a fact, and we will happily publish it.

Use images you do not have rights to. Including images from a competitor’s site, a manufacturer’s brochure, or a Google search.

Add tracking or third-party scripts to your site. Your site is deliberately static and cookieless, which is why it loads fast and needs no cookie banner. If you specifically want analytics, get in touch and we will talk through the implications — including that you would then need your own privacy notice.

Things with structural boundaries

The agreed website scope. Your initial pages are planned around the business rather than fixed in advance. We can add, remove, combine or repurpose pages when the business needs change; if a request turns the site into a substantially different or more complex product, we will explain that before any work begins.

The header and footer across pages. These are shared site-wide by design, so your navigation is consistent. We can redesign them completely; we cannot make them different on each page.

Where the contact form goes. It sends to your email address. We do not build custom form destinations, CRM integrations or auto-responders on this plan.

Things that are yours, not ours

Your domain name. You own it. See choosing a domain name.

Your content. The words and images on your site are yours. If you leave, you can take them.

If you are not sure

Just ask. The list above is short because the answer is almost always yes. Get in touch and we will tell you straight away whether something is possible.
