What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to function -- to keep you signed in, or to stop a form being submitted by someone else. Others are optional, and are used to measure how a site is being used.
UK law lets us set the necessary ones without asking. For anything else, we have to ask first, and you are free to say no.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are always set, because the site cannot work without them. They contain no advertising or tracking data.

Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages of our marketing site people find useful. It tells us things like which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. It does not tell us who you are.
These cookies are only set if you agree. If you decline, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded at all -- we do not load it and then discard the data.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies for this site, which will bring the choice back.
Cookies on the websites we build
The websites we build for our customers are static pages and set no cookies of their own. If a customer asks us to add a tool that does, telling their visitors about it is their responsibility.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in, because staying signed in is exactly what one of them does.
