Will the existing website go offline during the build?
No. It remains exactly where it is while the replacement is built on a private preview. The switch happens after approval.
Do I have to transfer the domain immediately?
No. A domain can be pointed at the new hosting while remaining with its present registrar, or transferred later if that is the better route.
What happens to existing email?
Mail and verification records are identified before DNS changes. The website record can move without casually replacing everything else attached to the domain.
