A shop on a high street sells more or less the same things in February as in July. A farm shop does not. Asparagus for six weeks. Soft fruit through the summer. Sweetcorn in August. Pumpkins for a fortnight that makes or breaks October. Turkeys and geese in December.
Which means the single most valuable thing on your website is also the thing that changes most: what is available right now. And because it changes, most farm shops give up on keeping it current, and end up with a site that says strawberries in November.
We deal with that by making it somebody else’s job. Send us a message — a text, an email, a photograph of the blackboard — and the site is updated. There is no charge, no limit, and you do not have to log into anything. It is the difference between a site that reflects the season and one that quietly stops being true in about March.
